A word on Pachelbel’s Canon in D

by on Feb.11, 2008, under Original Artists, Solo Performances

I don’t know about you, but if I hear one more loser posting his ‘version’ of this I’m going to puke. Its nice to hear at a wedding, once in a while, maybe… but can you dorks not think of anything better to waste your time learning? This piece of music was written in 1680! Are you telling me that 300 years later this is the pinnacle for guitarists to aspire to? Nothing else to wank on in the basement? I mean come on!!!

Thanks to Rob Paravonian telling it like it is.

Guitar Heroes #4 – Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton

by on Feb.08, 2008, under Guitar Heroes

I’ll admit I never quite understood the whole ‘Clapton is God’ thing. I liked some of his work with Cream, but overall he bores the hell out of me. Santana was in the same category, sure that Woodstock thing was cool…why don’t you play something else now?

I’m glad to have found this video and cleared up all my misconceptions about these two amazing artists.
